Site Tour

Part of the programme of RailFreight Summit ’24 is a site tour to the PCC Intermodal Terminal in Kutno. The terminal in Kutno, thanks to stable and regular intermodal connections, enables fast and cost-optimized handling operations for containers traveling between: Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ukraine and Italy. The terminal is connected twice daily with Polish seaports and Rotterdam, daily with Hamburg/Bremerhaven, Antwerp and Duisburg, it connects daily all most important economic regions in Poland.

The Terminal in Kutno is the most modern transshipment intermodal centre in Poland. The hub is dedicated for container handlings operations, connected widely with domestic and international network of regular shuttle trains within Baltic-Adriatic and East-West transport corridors.

  • The Terminal is located directly on the railway line E-20, connecting Berlin with Warsaw, near to the main railway line north-south (No. 131) on the Baltic-Adriatic Corridor, and very close to national roads and motorways: A1, A2 Motorway, E75, DK 92, DK 91, DK 60.
  • PCC Kutno Terminal operational area including track layout is 120 000 m2
  • Annual handling capacity of the terminal is currently 350 000 TEU
  • Storage area available at the terminal reaches 4 000 TEU
  • Railway tracks at the terminal: 2x 700 m, 2×720

Moreover the terminal is facilitated with:

  • Electric power plugs for tanks and reefers heating and cooling (76 power outlets)
  • 8 mobile, containers handling equipment
  • 5 gantry cranes
  • Technical facilities for containers’ repairs
  • Temporary Customs Storage Warehouse covering the whole terminal area
