Summary:
In the railway sector a lot of communication is still done bilaterally and often by mail or phone. Rail Traffic System, the communication platform built by the Antwerp Port Authority, wants to change this. Rail Traffic System brings together railway undertakings, terminals, industry, storage facilities and all kinds of third parties involved in railway transport to share data and communicate through one single platform.
Speaker biography:
An Cant is Business solutions architect at the Antwerp Port Authority. She holds an advanced master’s degree in Maritime Sciences from the University of Antwerp. She started her career in 2008 at the finance dept. of the Port of Antwerp where she worked on the internal process optimization. In 2013 she joined the IT department of the Antwerp Port Authority as a business analyst. From 2014 until 2017 she also worked as a business consultant for Antwerp Port Community System where she gained experience in developing port community projects. Since 2018 she continued her work at the IT department of the Antwerp Port Authority as a business solutions architect.
